Where you may not park
A no-parking sign is circular with a red border and a single diagonal stripe; no stopping has a cross. The difference matters: where parking is prohibited you may not leave the vehicle, and where stopping is prohibited you may not even pause.
Beyond the signs, parking is prohibited where it obstructs: on a zebra crossing, at a junction, on a bend, in front of a gate or entrance, beside another parked vehicle, and anywhere that narrows the road for everyone else.
A vehicle parked in a prohibited place can be fined and removed, and the cost of removing it is yours.
