Dashboard warning lights
The dashboard is the vehicle telling you about itself. Learn which of its lights mean "note this" and which mean "stop now".
A RED OIL-PRESSURE light means stop the engine immediately. Oil pressure has been lost, and an engine run without it is destroyed in seconds.
The temperature gauge, the battery/charging light and the brake warning light are the others to respect at once.
The FUEL GAUGE shows how much fuel is left; the speedometer shows speed; the ampere meter shows charging. Knowing which instrument reports what saves you from acting on the wrong one.
